November 18, 2024
Heraklion, Greece

The Centre for Aquaculture Progress will be attending “Shaping the future of sustainable aquaculture in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea”, taking place in Heraklion, Crete, from 4–5 December 2024.

Organised by the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM) of the FAO and the Government of Greece, this is the largest regional aquaculture conference, bringing together representatives from many countries across the Mediterranean and Black Sea.

The event will review a decade of progress since the first regional conference in Bari and set priorities for the future, with topics including climate resilience, responsible investment, innovation, ecosystem-based approaches, and aquatic animal welfare.

If you’ll be in Heraklion and would like to connect, feel free to reach out at info@centreforaquacultureprogress.org.
